Redefine an optimal cost

Cut costs or control them, redesign an optimal cost structure, implement a different “cost culture” … Managers often deal with contradictory objectives: how do you optimise without destroying what actually works? How do you combine cost control and the ability to drive change? How do you communicate about it and avoid a loss of motivation when the team are asked to do more with less?

Contexts of intervention

We step in on ambitious international programs to identify what can be improved and what costs can be cut:

  • Reduction of lost efficiency (notably with a Lean approach) and “selling, general and administrative expenses” (SG&A)
  • Process simplification
  • Management of cost reduction program
  • Identification of synergies through activity consolidation, mutualisation, economies of scale, relocation or outsourcing
  • Transformation of Information systems

What sets us apart

  • Our extensive experience of cost reduction programs in both large and medium-sized companies
  • Our strong ability to mobilise consultants from various backgrounds with specialised expertise (Transformation, Lean Six Sigma and operational excellence / IT expertise…).
  • An approach that aims to challenge the existing ways without degrading service quality

A leading heavy industry embarks on a comprehensive program to improve performance and reduce selling, general and administrative expenses (SG&A). The goal is to optimize processes by using a benchmarking logic and by aligning support functions.

The WillBe Group team brings its experience in leading transformation programs and provides a rigourous methodological framework for the rollout of the program in Europe.

It identifies the sources of productivity or potential savings in each type of process, defines a homogeneous organization structure and provides a set of improvements that can be quickly implemented.
